UNPAID WAGES COMPLAINT:

RESOLVED INTERNALLY

An employee complaint that she was not properly paid for all hours worked including overtime by working with the employee and management to understand her concern, obtain records of hours worked and hours paid for time worked by creating a spreadsheet of the hours paid and worked for the employee that showed proper overtime calculations. This employee stated in her first call that she wanted to seek out a labor attorney as she did not have confidence in any explanation coming directly from her supervisor.

PAID LEAVE COMPLAINT:

RESOLVED INTERNALLY

An employee question about compensation for COVID-19 leave well after the leave event. The employee was provided incorrect information by a direct supervisor who did not know that the paid leave was extended in that state. AskHR worked with the employee’s supervisor, payroll records and internal leadership to fully understand the situation and recommend a solution to resolve the matter to the satisfaction of the employee and leadership.

WRONGFUL TERMINATION COMPLAINT:

RESOLVED INTERNALLY

An employee complaint about possible wrongful termination of employment by and prevented the employee from filing a claim with the state department of labor. Worked with management to get firsthand supervisor reason for termination along with video footage of the incident and provided an explanation to the terminated employee on the reason for their termination.

HARASSMENT AND DISCRIMINATION COMPLAINT:

MANAGEMENT ALERT

A situation had the appearance of unlawful harassment and discrimination; Ask HR provided to management best practices for resolution and how to end the behavior.
